Description
This is a fantastic 16 inch AR-15 barrel that is part of the Classic Series of parts made by Ballistic Advantage and is a reliable choice with several features that increase its durability and accuracy. Made in the classic M4 profile, this barrel is machined from 4150 chrome moly vanadium steel alloy. This specific alloy material is often used in parts as it has an amazing strength and it also is more resistant to warping due to the exposure to prolonged heat. The barrel also boasts a chrome lined bore, which is another feature included in order to prolong the active life of the barrel. Stamped for firing 5.56NATO rounds, this barrel uses that chrome lining to reduce friction and makes the bore more durable and less likely to need service. The chamber is also coated in a manganese phosphate which is another feature that helps with friction, and the barrel is coated in matte black phosphate to match. The M4 feed ramp extensions are coated in the same reliable phosphate finish, which also will help to reduce the effects that corrosion could have on the barrel.
